Kids' Art Show

There is an amazing Kids' Art Show held only on Saturday morning during the art show between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at the Chautauqua Playground. No fee or application is required and there are many art activities for children to enjoy from paper making, face painting and much more. Also, children up to the age of 14 may enter one artwork of their choice of any medium for judging which will be judged by children. There will be prizes awarded based on the votes each entry receives. All artwork that is to be entered into the contest must be brought to the playground between the 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. No artwork after this may be entered into the contest. We will not be judging the crafts that children bring to sell. Your child will need to fill out a contact form that must be attached to the back of the artwork. Final judging and prizes will be awarded at 12:00 noon. If you would like to have your child's artwork dropped off earlier, it may be brought to the Chautauqua Borough Office where forms can be filled out and attached. If you have any questions, please contact Faith Mumma - 717-964-2212 or email.

Children may also sell art made by THEM....not adults. This is important....the Children's Art Show is meant to foster self confidence in children being artists and not a profit bearing venture for children and their parents. Please help your child to feel successful and valued by only allowing the products they make to be sold. A $10.00 limit is placed on all artwork offered for sale by the children. We have recently increased this limit as we know some of the jewelry and other crafts being sold by older children cost them more to make. Only artwork may be sold, no food.
